Trevor Arthur Smith, Baron Smith of Clifton Kt (born 14 June 1937) is a British politician and academic who is currently the Liberal Democrat spokesman in the House of Lords on Northern Ireland and constitutional affairs. He has been an active member of the Liberal Democrats and its predecessor, the Liberal Party, since 1956. [1]
