The Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC) was a UK non-departmental public body set up in 2005 to support the implementation of the government's "Every Child Matters" strategy. It was part of Skills for Care and Development, the Sector Skills Council for social care, children and young people's workforces in the UK. [1]
