A Quiet Word:
Lobbying, Crony Capitalism
and Broken Politics in Britain

Burnley Football Club are a professional football club based in Burnley, Lancashire, who play in The Championship, the second highest level of English football. Nicknamed The Clarets, due to the dominant colour of their home shirts, they were one of the founder members of the Football League in 1888. The club colours of claret and blue were adopted in 1910 in tribute to the dominant club of English football at the time, Aston Villa. [1]
